How to save money on buying make up

We all want too look good and buy the best make up brands available but sometimes its not possible due to financial restrictions. I have used all brands from top end to budget and have to say that top end is not always the best but you really need to shop around to find what's most suited to your skin type and purse strings. So here are just a few ways I have been able to save a small fortune on make up.

Blog sale make up
You may not have noticed but many of the most followed bloggers often get free make up sent to them for blogging purposes and reviews. Most often they are not needed so they are then swatched and sold of 'as new'. You really can save a lot this way as I have encountered many bargains of high end cosmetics. Most people who have free make up sent to them just use a little for review purposes so will state that. Read carefully how many times something has been used and if you trust the seller but in most cases it is very hard to get reputable companies to send you stuff for free so bloggers who have managed to get their hands in free stuff are generally nice people who have no use for free make up.

eBay
Hear me out before dismissing this idea, I have bought a lot of things from eBay and have yet to encounter any major problems. I have bought toys, clothes, furniture, make up, you name it, I've bought it. There are fraudsters on there so you do have to be careful but in general if you do encounter a problem Paypal will refund you your money.

There are people who have bought a foundation tried it and found it didn't match their skin tone, so they sell it on the cheap instead, there's nothing wrong with that. The same goes for unwanted make up that have been given to people as presents or colours that don't match the sellers skin tone. Just beware of high end cosmetics such as MAC and Urban Decay's Naked Palette they are the most duped.

Wholesale
There are many websites that sell great make up brands at wholesale prices but you need to buy in bulk. Most often you can choose your colours so you can get a pack of 6 lip gloss for £16.20 when they retail £7 each in the shops. I have bought a few branded costmetics such as L'Oreal, Max Factor, Maybelline and Revlon.

Like pages on Facebook
If you like all your favourite brands on Facebook they let you know about special offers and competitions first. recently MUA did a fantastic sale on make up and you could get mascara, concealer, nail polish etc for as little as £1! You also get to know of exclusives first too.

So there are my ways of saving money on make up but still being able to buy the make up brands I love, do you have another way of saving? Let me know in the comments below.
