e.l.f cosmetics Review

For a while now I have seen good reviews on e.l.f cosmetics (eyes, lips, face) as I was in need of a few things I decided to get a few products and try them myself. When I went on the website I found that their prices were really cheap compared to other cosmetic brands such as L'Oreal, Maybelline and Revlon, so a little went a long way. To be honest all I needed was concealer, eyeliner and maybe some lipstick but they had a 'Halloween' special where if you spend £15 you get a free 'Halloween' mystery bag. So I tried to find a few things I could use to qualify for my free gift.

Not bad I thought, I was quite pleased so I waited for my order to come. It came in a small little box with everything neatly packaged.

So I went through it all to make sure everything I ordered was there, plus my free Halloween mystery bag was there, yay. It all looked so nice that I didn't know where to start so I just had a quick look at them all before seeing what was in my mystery bag.

As you can imagine I couldn't wait to try them all. Both the mascaras were fantastic and for the prices I was very impressed, funnily enough the cheaper one, lengthening and defining at £1.50 was the best. The concealer is very disappointing I'm afraid it looks very grey on my under eye circles so I can't use it. The lip gloss is nice but doesn't last long, like 30 minutes. The false lashes are useless at £1.50 I wasn't expecting them to be the best  but they just don't stay on, might need to buy some better glue. For £1 I can get as much as 10 pairs of false eyelashes!

I was not disappointed with my free gifts! They were all full size, purple nail polish, purple cream eyeliner, lip tint and brightening eye shadow. The cream eyeliner is fantastic, glides on so smoothly and stays on for hours on end. The lip tint too is nice, I have worn it alone and with a lipstick or lipgloss on top. The nail polish is also good, just one coat is sufficient and it doesn't chip. The eyeshadow was a disappointment it's not really pigmented enough and there are little sparkles that cause a lot of fallout.

Overall they were okay, some products fared better than others, I will stick to my other trusted brands though as I now need to go buy another concealer and lip gloss. If you need long lasting and pigmented make up then do not use e.l.f cosmetics but if you need cheap make up to see you through then go for it.
