Homemade face mask for large pores

Before spending money on face creams and masks why not do some research to see of you can make your own face mask at home for a fraction of the cost. Also too many chemicals can be bad for your skin and cause bad reactions whereas natural products are least likely to aggravate skin.

Like you may have seen I have some acne scarring, large pores and ice pick scars but I found a home made face mask that helps tighten the skin and close the pores. It should cost less than two pounds and can be used as often as you like.

So what is this great face mask? Honey and oats, yes you heard right. Honey has long been used to help clear congested skin and make it feel smoother. It also gives you a nice glow and don't forget you smell sweeter too.

How make honey and oat face mask?
There is no right or wrong way to make it and there are a few variations here is mine:
Take a tablespoon of honey and crush it, I usually use a pestle and mortar, you can use a blender instead
Add a teaspoon of honey at a time until it becomes a paste, not too runny otherwise you'll be a sticky mess
Then apply to clean, make up free face and leave for at least 20 minutes, rinse off, preferably with cold water and pat face dry

I usually apply the face mask once or twice a week in the evenings before I have a shower. I don't usually put anything on face until I go to bed, then I apply vitamin E face oil.

*You can buy any oats it doesn't have to be the most expensive, a small packet of unbranded oats will work fine. The same goes for honey and brand will do.

Another variation is to use milk instead of  honey or a mixture of both, experiment with what you have in your kitchen cupboard and see if you can find a new variation?
