Maybelline review

Maybelline gel eyeliner
You must have heard about gel eyeliners, they are all the rage at the moment, there are many available out there with the top selling gel eyeliners to be Mac, Bobbi Brown and Maybelline, I decided to try Maybelline as at that time it was one of the first out.

I bought Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner from Boots, it cost £8 and came with a little brush, I watch Maybelline's tutorial and it seemed pretty good and easy to use. I usually only apply eyeliner to my bottom lid but decided on an image change thus opting for gel eyeliner. Application is easy with Maybelline, the brush can be used in two ways, one way achieves a thin line and holding the brush another way creates a thicker line.

Its good and lasts all day long, the only downside I noticed was that its not as dark as its should be, I have used it alone and on eyeshadow and both times it looked grey rather than black. I have to apply eyeshadow on top to make it the black that I want it to be.

A good thing about this eyeliner is that you can use it on your lower lid too unlike liquid eyeliners but I find that it makes my eye a little itchy but thats just me. I do like this eyeliner because of how easy it is to apply and you get the brush with it.

Bobbi Brown on the other hand is also supposed to be very good but at £17 and without a brush to come with it I haven't yet tried it.

Mac costs £14 for the gel liner and £16 for the brush! As I only use gel eyeliner for winged eyeliner on my top lid Maybelline is fine for me , I haven't tried the others, so let me know what you think.
